Class Offerings

The class offering at HUPS follows a college preparatory program, which meets theFlorida Department of Education requirements for a high school student to enter the University of Florida system, Florida State College system, and private, Christian and secular universities and colleges throughout the United States.

History & Social Sciences (requirement: 3 years)
Physical Education (requirement: 2 years, CP; 1 year, Scholars)
Science (requirement: 3 years)
Mathematics (requirement: 4 years, CP; 4 years, Scholars)
Foreign Language (requirement: 2 years, CP; 3 years, Scholars)
Visual & Performing Arts (requirement: 1 year, CP; 2 years, Scholars)
Electives (requirement: 1.5 years)
Health (requirement: 0.5 year or 1 semester)
Community Service (requirement: 100 hours, 25 hours per year average)

Highlands UPrep recommends foreign language fluency for students beginning in 5 grade and continuing to graduation.
