Other Duties
Mrs. Ford received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas on June 4, 1983. She taught one year of middle school math in Silome Springs, AR, three years of 3rd – 6th grades (in one room) in Knoxville, TN, and 1.5 years of preschool in Oak Ridge, TN. There was then a seven year span of being a nanny so that she could be with her daughters when they were young. After moving to Sebring, Mrs. Ford started at Heartland Christian School. She taught music for two years before moving to Fifth Grade. Eight years later she finally passed and started teaching middle and high school. Her main concentration is in math and science. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Ford currently serves the school as Registrar and Dean of Students. She has just completed her 15th year at Heartland and looks forward to many years at Highlands University Preparatory School.
